Raffle Prizes
The value of the prizes for raffles varies depending, of course, on how grand the event is aimed to be. Grand prizes for raffles in Germany usually range from euros to luxurious Volkswagens to trips around the world to stays in expensive accommodations and, quite recently, to houses, so it is of utmost importance that you know exactly what you are playing (and paying) for.
German raffles or tombolas sometimes offer rugby shirts as prizes. Still, others sometimes even hold rides in new cars; a lap in the new BMW M5 model was actually raffled off quite recently in Nürburgring—prizes vary, no doubt.
Property raffling in Germany is a relatively new way to sell houses. With the difficulty of the real estate industry in Germany, individual realtors wanting to liven up the hype for a property turn to raffles. In a nutshell, potential buyers line up their tickets costing about 100 euros each (on average) and one winner is drawn from them. The endgame: a house for an exponentially smaller amount, and a happy seller.
These are just a few of the prizes being offered now in raffles all around Germany; the very nature of these prizes is simply their diversity, although all of them seem to have one thing in common: they are desirable for almost everyone.
